What’s Change for Change?

Our Change for Change journey began last year, with a crazy goal of raising $25,000 to donate an urgently needed water purification system to a community in Africa. With your help we raised $16,000, and in partnership with Water for Africa and Hands for Others (H4O), both donating $10,000, we were able to donate a total of $36,000 to Water Missions International.

Last summer the funds were used to install an urgently needed water system in Musubi, Uganda on Lake Victoria. In December, Darryl LaPlante, Young & Free SC Spokester and Kyle Whitcroft, Young & Free SC Coordinator traveled to Musubi and saw first hand the impact on this village. Darryl wrote in his blog, "Never again will I drink a bottle or glass of water without thinking of the people of Musubi. Water Missions International is a truly amazing organization that is making huge strides to make things right in the world. Without them Musubi still wouldn’t know what clean drinking water looks like."

Thank you for helping Young & Free SC change the lives of thousands of people in Musubi.
