Busy Week Ahead!
Josh SutherlandHey everybody! It looks like we have a very busy week ahead of us here at YoungFreeSC.com! A couple of competitions and a couple of giveaways are in full swing, so here's a recap and a reminder to everybody about what we have coming up!
Last Band Standing: We have 20 bands so far, and about 4 hours left for new ones to throw their hats in the ring. After midnight tonight, new submissions will not be accepted. For bands already accepted by YoungFreeSC.com, here's a short rundown of what's to come:
Tomorrow there will be no voting or submissions. This is so we can have enough time to make sure the voting process on the site will be working as intended.
Wednesday morning, voting begins! The homepage of http://www.youngfreesc.com will be transformed from what you see now into a voting station. Each voter will be able to select UP TO 5 bands that they want to see play at the Wild Wing Cafe in Mt. Pleasant for our final round! In order to vote you must have a valid e-mail address. Once your vote is cast, you will receive an e-mail and click a confirmation link to have your vote count. Again, you must click the link in your e-mail to have your vote count! So for all the bands out there garnering supporters, make sure your loyal fans know this!
Polls will close at midnight, September 15th! The 5 bands with the MOST VOTES will be our finalists and will be expected to perform their original content at the final round on October 7th at a live event at Wild Wing Cafe in Mt. Pleasant. That's really all there is to it! Good luck, and may the best band win!

Young & Free Fantasy Football: The automated drafts for these leagues are early Wednesday morning, so you have to get into these leagues either tonight or tomorrow! If you came here from Facebook you may be seeing a group invite soon. ;) Here is the blog post detailing the Fantasy Football competition with $200 prizes!
Shinefest tickets: Signing up for YoungFreeSC.com e-updates and leaving comments on blog posts on entries made in the month of September get you entered to win 2 tickets to Shinefest, which is a concert held in Charleston on October 17th. The winner of our Young & Free Last Band Standing will be playing a set there, so make sure you sign up and leave lots of support for your favorite band! That's an $80 value by the way!
