Cyber Monday
Hey everybody! I'm back from Columbia just in time to tell you all about Cyber Monday.
What the heck is Cyber Monday you ask? It's one of those made up holidays invented by marketers to stimulate the economy a little bit in their favor. Starting in 2005, people liked to say that the Monday after Thanksgiving was the busiest day in America for online shopping. However, this was just flat-out not true. December 12th - 15th have been the busiest days for online shopping since 2005. However, over 600 companies want you to shop so badly that they have come together with the National Retail Federation to bring you CyberMonday.org!
Go ahead, take a little click through and check out all the offers from tons of companies including Target, Best Buy, Barnes and Nobles, American Eagle and tons of others. The most common deal seems to be free shipping on orders of $50 or more, but some places are offering free gifts, 10-15% off, and other wacky deals. You still have about 6 hours to cash in on some free stuff, so get to it!
P.S. - Carolina won on Saturday, in case you missed it. 34-17, no big deal. ;)
