Introducing the Young & Free Fantasy Football Competition!
Josh SutherlandHello everybody! I'm excited for this new competition that will be starting off next week that everyone can join in on!
What it is: Two FREE fantasy football leagues hosted by NFL.com lasting 14 weeks of the NFL season.
What you can win: The first place finisher in each league at the end of the season will receive a $200 prize from South Carolina Federal Credit Union! That is, IF you can beat me.
Where you go to sign up: http://www.nfl.com/fantasy You will need to create a Fantasy login for nfl.com using a valid e-mail address. After you've created an account you will be prompted to Join a League! The name of the league is Young Free South Carolina, and will have 12 players including me. Once you search for the league and find it, you will need the password "youngfreesc" to be able to join it. Once the first league fills up, the second league named Young Free South Carolina 2 will be available for the next 12 players, again including me so that I can run the thing.
When the draft is: I have set up each league to have an automated draft. What this means is that after joining a league, you can set your player rankings at any time before the automated draft which will take place sometime Wednesday morning (September 9th). You probably won't get all the players you love, but the idea is to stimulate trades throughout the season. Wednesday morning, NFL.com will distribute all the players based on your position in the draft and your player rankings. The first game of the NFL season takes place Thursday night, so you will need to login and start setting your roster by Thursday evening!

- Participants must:
- Register with nfl.com’s Fantasy Sports website: http://www.nfl.com/fantasy
- Join either Young Free South Carolina or Young Free South Carolina 2 leagues before midnight on Tuesday, September 8th, 2009.
- Participate weekly by setting their rosters for each set of NFL games.
- Idle participants may have their teams disbanded after several weeks of inactivity to keep things equal and fair for remaining participants.
- Employees of South Carolina Federal Credit Union and their family members are eligible.
- Prize: The winner(s) of Young Free South Carolina and/or Young Free South Carolina 2 league(s) will receive a $200 prize. In the event of a South Carolina Federal Credit Union employee winning either league, personal time off will be awarded in lieu of the $200 prize. Winners are defined by the rules of nfl.com as the team winning the final playoff matchup in Week 14.
- Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
- We reserve the right to make changes to the rules and regulations of the contest as well as the final word in any disputes that should arise concerning the competition.
- Entrants must be legal residents of the United States. Among other things described, we may require proof of age, identification, and/or prior to delivering a prize.
And there you have it. To join a league, just follow the steps above and secure your spot and your chance at $200! Good luck going against me. You're gonna need it. =)
