Summer jobs
Well it's time to switch up the polls again. Here are the results from last week's poll:

It looks like Saturdays will be our best days to connect in the future for events and giveaways!
The new poll question is about summer jobs. Summer jobs are a great way for people in high school or college to make some extra money to live on while they're away from their studies. Even though the economy is still not at 100%, summer jobs should be out there based on the seasonal nature of some businesses. A couple of summer jobs I've held in the past are concessions and usher at a movie theater in North Charleston, and a food runner at a restaurant in Columbia. Lifeguarding is a great example of a summer job, but be sure you meet the qualifications before applying. Superstores like Wal*Mart and Target usually need extra help during the summer as well.
To help find a summer job, be sure to use your friends and relatives' connections. They might know someone somewhere who needs a bit of extra help but aren't willing to pay another full time salary. This is where you come in as an awesome, seasonal, part-time worker! Get out there and start makin' some dough! It will only help as resume material when it's time to begin your search for your first professional job. Good luck, and whether you find a summer job or not, be sure to enjoy the season!
