Try it Tuesday: Computer cheapskate
Being a cheapskate is not always a bad thing. Getting the most for your money should never be considered wrong. There are plenty of easy ways to save yourself a little here and there...and as we all know, every penny counts these days. These tips can really help you save a lot of money in the long run. Throughout the Cheapskate series of blogs I'll show you how you can become a cheapskate without losing your sanity.
Today...computers.
- A way to save a lot of money on ink is to print your documents in grey instead of black (unless of course its something for work or school). If you're just printing off something for yourself there is no need to use black type! Save some moolah...print in grey.
- Now that you've printed in grey...you can make your cartridges last EVEN longer! Whether you're utilizing a copier or a printer you're usually not out of toner/ink when you think you are. When the device is telling you you're out...pull out the cartridge and shake it up then put it back in...and it will last longer than you think!
- Also, the more general tips...turn your computer off (or put it in sleep mode) when not in use, regularly clean dust from your computer, and try not to leave you computer sitting on beds, couches, etc because it might cause it to overheat.
This is just the first blog of many on how to be a cheapskate and LOVE it!
